Former professional golfer Jeff Mitchell was named the new women's golf coach at UNT.
Mitchell's resume includes almost 14 years as a head coach at Stanford University and Texas Tech following his career on the PGA Tour.
"My number one goal is trying to find out what motivates them," Mitchell said.

Freshman Oklahoma wide receiver Josh Jarboe was kicked off the team Friday after an obscenity-filled rap video of him talking about guns and shooting people surfaced on YouTube.
This was the last straw for coach Bob Stoops. In May, Jarboe received two years probation and 80 community service hours as part of a plea bargain for carrying a gun on school property at his high school in Decatur, Ga.

For more than two decades baseball fans at UNT have had to travel to Arlington to enjoy a live game. For 21 years, UNT has not had a collegiate baseball program, since it was cut, along with men's soccer, in 1987.
